2-Ingredient Air Fryer Hash Brown Patties

Quick Description
These 2-Ingredient Air Fryer Hash Brown Patties are simple, crispy on the outside, and perfectly tender on the inside. Made with just russet potatoes and oil, they’re a healthier alternative to traditional fried hash browns, and they’re ready in less than 20 minutes in the air fryer!
Servings & Timing
- Serves: 2–4 servings
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 12-15 minutes
- Total Time: ~20 minutes
Ingredients List
- 2 medium russet potatoes (about 1 pound or 450 grams total)
- 1½ tablespoons cooking oil (vegetable oil, olive oil, or avocado oil)
Instructions
- Prep the Potatoes:
Peel the russet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or food processor. After grating, rinse the potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch, then squeeze them dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. The drier the potatoes, the crispier the patties will be. - Mix with Oil:
In a large bowl, toss the grated potatoes with the cooking oil until well coated. You can use vegetable oil, olive oil, or avocado oil, depending on your preference. - Form the Patties:
Take about ¼ cup of the grated potato mixture and form it into a small patty. Repeat until all the mixture is used up. You should have about 4–6 patties, depending on the size. - Air Fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the hash brown patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are golden and crispy. - Serve:
Once crispy and golden brown, remove the patties from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite breakfast items or dipping sauces.
