Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Unsalted butter | ½ cup (1 stick) |
Granulated sugar | 2 cups |
Evaporated milk | ⅔ cup |
Semi-sweet chocolate chips | 1¾ cups (10-12 ounces) |
Marshmallow fluff | 7 ounces (1 jar) |
Vanilla extract | 1 tbsp |
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and evaporated milk. Bring the mixture to a full boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly to ensure everything is combined.
- Boil and Thicken: Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and continue to boil for exactly five minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Melt Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Immediately add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the hot mixture, stirring until they are completely melted and smooth.
- Add Flavor and Texture: Stir in the marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Pour and Chill: Pour the warm fudge mixture into a prepared dish (an 8×8 inch pan lined with parchment paper or foil works well for easy removal). Refrigerate until the fudge is completely firm, usually a few hours.
Once firm, slice the fudge into squares and enjoy! It’s perfect for sharing or savoring on your own
