My Mom’s Fudge

Unsalted butter½ cup (1 stick)
Granulated sugar2 cups
Evaporated milk⅔ cup
Semi-sweet chocolate chips1¾ cups (10-12 ounces)
Marshmallow fluff7 ounces (1 jar)
Vanilla extract1 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the unsalted buttergranulated sugar, and evaporated milk. Bring the mixture to a full boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly to ensure everything is combined.
  2. Boil and Thicken: Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and continue to boil for exactly five minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Melt Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Immediately add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the hot mixture, stirring until they are completely melted and smooth.
  4. Add Flavor and Texture: Stir in the marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  5. Pour and Chill: Pour the warm fudge mixture into a prepared dish (an 8×8 inch pan lined with parchment paper or foil works well for easy removal). Refrigerate until the fudge is completely firm, usually a few hours.

Once firm, slice the fudge into squares and enjoy! It’s perfect for sharing or savoring on your own
