| Diced Tomatoes | 1 (14-ounce) can |
| Onion, finely chopped | 1 |
| Garlic, minced | 2 cloves |
| Fresh Basil, chopped | 1/4 cup |
| Fresh Oregano, chopped | 1/4 cup |
| Salt and Pepper | To taste |
| Olive Oil | 2 tablespoons |
Instructions:
- Meatball Mastery:
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, eggs, and seasonings. Mix well until everything is incorporated.
- Form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and set them aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes). Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Gravy Galore:
- If needed, add more olive oil to the same skillet. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until softened and fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed and diced tomatoes, then stir in the chopped basil and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer. Add the cooked meatballs back to the pan, ensuring they’re covered by the sauce.
- Simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, letting the flavors meld and the meatballs absorb the savory tomato sauce
- Serve and Savor:
- Once the meatballs are cooked through and the flavors are combined, serve them hot over your favorite pasta, rice, or crusty bread. Enjoy!
