INGREDIENTS:

  • Salt
  • One medium bell  pepper
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 3 tbsps of coconut aminos
  • 1 lb of chicken breast
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp of rice vinegar
  • 4 cups of green cabbage
  • 2 tbsps of avocado oil or sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp of xanthan gum
  •  Black pepper
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds

INGREDIENT NOTES AND THEIR KETO SUBSTITUTION:

SESAME OR AVOCADO OIL:

  • Use the sesame oil to provide the true asian taste and nutty aroma. You can use the avocado oil as a replacement.

COCONUT AMINOS:

  • It is a replacement for regular soy sauce used for a keto diet.  Include the flavor of umami with no gluten or extra carbs.

BELL PEPPER:

  • It gives a crunchy texture and color to this dish. It has a normal carb count, which is suitable for a keto diet. You can skip it to lower the net carbs more.

XANTHAN GUM:

  • It is used to prepare a thick sauce consistency rather than cornstarch. It helps to stick the sauce with the veggies and chicken.
