Honey Garlic Chicken with Mushrooms(Sweet, Savory & Weeknight-Perfect)

Ingredients

- 2 chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Sauce & Flavor
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Season & cook the chicken
Season sliced chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and pan-fry chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. - Build the flavor
In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. - Cook the mushrooms
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened and lightly browned. - Glaze everything
Return the chicken to the pan. Stir in honey and soy sauce.
Let everything simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and mushrooms. - Serve
Remove from heat and serve hot.
Additional Notes
- Sauce Tip: Keep an eye on the honey—it caramelizes quickly. Lower heat if needed.
- Extra Protein: Add more chicken if serving over rice or noodles.
- Flavor Boost: A splash of chicken broth or squeeze of lemon balances the sweetness nicely.
