Self-rising flour | 1 cup |
Ground cinnamon | 1 tablespoon |
Apple | 1 medium, chopped |
Instructions:
- Prepare the Apples: Mash the apple pie filling in a bowl until it has a chunky consistency. You can leave some larger apple pieces for extra texture.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the yellow cake mix, self-rising flour, and ground cinnamon.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add the slightly beaten eggs to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix.
- Fold in Apples: Gently fold in the mashed apple pie filling and chopped apple pieces until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Prepare to Bake: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease two loaf pans.
- Fill and Sprinkle: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans. Sprinkle the top of each loaf with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon (optional).
- Bake Until Golden Brown: Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
