Apple Pie Cake

Ingredients
Cake
- 2 cups 250 g all-purpose flour
- 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup 115 g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup 240 ml milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
Apple Filling
- 3 medium apples peeled & diced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Optional Topping
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Whipped cream or ice cream
Instructions
Prepare the apples
- Peel and dice apples into small cubes.
- In a bowl, mix apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Set aside.
Make the cake batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
- Add melted butter and vanilla, then mix well.
- Stir in milk.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
Assemble
- Pour half of the batter into the pan.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly on top.
- Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
- Smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & Serve
- Let the cake cool for 20 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream
