Apple Pie Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 2 cups 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup 115 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup 240 ml milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Apple Filling

  • 3 medium apples peeled & diced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Optional Topping

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Whipped cream or ice cream

Instructions

Prepare the apples

  • Peel and dice apples into small cubes.
  • In a bowl, mix apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • Set aside.

Make the cake batter

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
  • Add melted butter and vanilla, then mix well.
  • Stir in milk.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

Assemble

  • Pour half of the batter into the pan.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly on top.
  • Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
  • Smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool & Serve

  • Let the cake cool for 20 minutes.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream
