Cottage Cheese & Potato Bake Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 cups cottage cheese

• 1 large egg

• 3–4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

• 1/2 cup grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)

• 1/4 cup milk or cream

• Salt and pepper to taste

• Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. In a mixing bowl, combine:

• Cottage cheese

• Egg

• A pinch of salt and pepper

• Optional: add milk or cream for extra creaminess.

3. Peel and slice potatoes very thinly (like for gratin or scalloped potatoes).

4. Layer in a baking dish:

• Grease the dish.

• Place a layer of sliced potatoes.

• Spread some of the cottage cheese mixture over the top.

• Repeat layers until everything is used up.

5. Top with shredded cheese if using.

6. Bake for about 45–55 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly, and the potatoes are fork-tender.

7. Let it rest a few minutes, garnish with fresh parsley or chives, and serve warm.
