INGREDIENTS:

  • Four oz. cream cheese
  • Four big eggs
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 1/3 cup Erythritol
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • One cup heavy cream
  • Optional: ½ tsp. cinnamon

INGREDIENTS NOTES:

CREAM CHEESE:

  • Cream cheese is added to provide the smooth and creamy texture in the flan.

EGGS:

  • Eggs are added in this flan to provide the structure in the custard and it also helps to set the dessert.

HEAVY CREAM:

  • Heavy cream is added in the dessert for the addition of healthy fats and to make the creamy consistency of custard.

ALMOND MILK:

  • Almond milk is the keto substitute of milk and it is use to make the dessert.

ERYTHRITOL:

  • Erythritol is the keto sweetener to sweeten the dessert without the additional carbs.

VANILLA EXTRACT:

  • It is included in the dessert to add the warm and aromatic flavor in the dessert.

SALT:

  • It is included in the dessert to enhances flavor overall and balances sweetness

INSTRUCTION:

  1. We can preheat the oven at three-fifty degrees F.
  2. Now we can apply the oil on the dish.
  3. We can add the cream cheese, almond milk, eggs, heavy cream, Erythritol, vanilla essence, cinnamon, and salt in the blender.
  4. Blend until it’s smooth & well incorporated.
  5. Put the cheese flan blend in the dish.
  6. Now we can fill the outer pan with hot water halfway up the sides of the flan dish.
  7. Place the baking dish inside a bigger roasting pan.
  8. We can cover the dish with the foil loosely and bake the flan for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the middle is just firm but still somewhat jiggly.
  9. Take the flan out of the oven, allow it to cool at the ambient temperature.
  10. Then place it in the refrigerator for at least four hours or overnight.
  11. We can make the slices and serve cold.

SERVING IDEAS:

  • Add some fresh berries, such as strawberries or raspberries over the cheese flan for the additional taste.
  • We can pour some keto caramel sauce over the flan.
  • Add nutmeg or cinnamon on the flan for the additional aroma and depth.
