Keto Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
- ¼ cup of chicken bone broth.
- Beef, 907 g, grounded.113 grams of cream cheese.
- Sea salt, two tsp.
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
- Black pepper, half tsp.
- A teaspoon of smoked paprika.
- 3 bell peppers, large.
- Italian seasoning, ½ tbsp.
- Six slices of provolone cheese.
- An onion, large.
INGREDIENT NOTES:
BEEF: The recipe here uses ground beef. You are independent in using shaved steak cut in very thin slices.
PROVOLONE CHEESE: You can use either the grated provolone cheese or its slices. It will give a classical taste to your dish. If you are out of provolone cheese then you are welcome to use any of the white cheeses such as Colby Jack, white cheddar, or mozzarella cheese.
ITALIAN SEASONING: It gives your dish a unique and classical touch.
BELL PEPPERS: Use any one of the available colors of the bell pepper or use every color of the bell pepper. Make thin slices of the bell peppers.
ONION: Make thin slices of any of the yellow, red, or sweet onions.
CREAM CHEESE: It adds creamy richness, and fats to the diet. This quality of cream cheese makes it the star of a keto diet.
INSTRUCTIONS:
PREPARATION:
- Warm your oven up by setting its temperature to 177 degrees C.
- Arrange a baking dish made of stoneware so you don’t have to oil it or cover it with parchment.
- It will be best if you choose a rectangular baking dish of 8 inches by 11.5 inches
COOKING:
- Place a pan on normal to high heat.
- Saute the mince of beef in the pan.
- Continuously move it with the spatula till it changes colour.
- Add pepper and salt to season the beef.
- After that cook for some additional minutes till the beef is thoroughly cooked.
- Move it with the spatula at regular intervals.
- Add onion and bell peppers to the beef in the pan.
- Next, add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika.
- Saute the veggies along with cooked beef for a short while till they become a little soft.
- Add broth of the chicken and cheese cream to the cooked beef and sauteed veggies.
- Stir continuously till the cream cheese melts and a smooth mixture appears.
BAKING:
- Now transfer all the mixture having cooked beef, cream cheese, broth, and sauteed veggies to the baking dish.
- Arrange the slices of provolone cheese to cover the top of the surface. Place the slices so that they overlap a little bit.
- Insert in the already-heated oven for the time it takes the cheese to melt
TIPS:
If you don’t have a stoneware baking dish then any other material of baking dish also works. You have to coat the baking dish with oil.
It would be best if you were careful while melting the cream cheese with broth. It can easily boil over or burn. Take it immediately off the stove once the cream cheese melts and stir continuously so it doesn’t get extra dry.
If you want your casserole to be more creamy then use additional cream cheese as per your taste.
Be careful when you are cutting the bell peppers. Slices should not be so thin and small that they remain undiscovered in the casserole. They should also be not too big that they overtake the whole casserole. Try to slice them in similar size so that will ensure even cooking
