TOOLS:

  • Grater
  • Skillet
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Spatula
  • Baking dish(eight by eight)
  • Bowl

INGREDIENTS:

  • Salt
  • 1 cup of Monterey Jack cheese
  • One-fourth cup of jalapeños
  • 1 lb of ground turkey or ground beef
  • Sour cream, 1 cup
  • One packet of keto taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup  of green onions
  • Green chiles, 1 can
  • Pepper
  • 8 oz of cream cheese
  • One cup of cheddar cheese

INGREDIENT NOTES:
We use Monterey Jack and cheddar, which melt properly. If you want a spicy taste, you can also use pepper jack. We can use already-shredded cheese, which works well, but using fresh shredded cheese lowers the carb count from the fillers.

SOUR CREAM:

  • The use of sour cream creates tartness and smoothness in the dip. We can use Greek yogurt as a good replacement, but sour cream has fewer carbs.

SEASONING:

  • Starch is a common component in normal taco seasoning, so we can use it.  Keto seasoning reduces carbs and stays away from fillers.

GROUND BEEF:

  • Ground beef provides a meaty texture. If you like leaner meat, you can use chicken or minced turkey instead. For a meatless option, you can add crumbled tofu or keto vegetable crumbles.

CREAM CHEESE:

  • We use high-fat cream cheese, which provides the dip with a creamy foundation. Choose full-fat for texture and keto balance because reduced-fat variants have more carbs and water.

GREEN CHILES:

These deliver a taste without spice. To make a hotter dip, you can swap diced jalapeños instead

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Warm the empty oven to 350°F if you are baking the dip.
  2. On a normal heat, cook the ground beef in a pan till brown.
  3. Strain out the extra oil from the skillet.
  4. Include taco seasoning and mix it properly to garnish the meat with it.
  5. Whisk cheddar, cream cheese, Monterey Jack, and sour cream in a bowl.
  6. Blend the mixture till it gives a smooth consistency.
  7. Then mix in cooked meat, green chiles, jalapeños, and green onions.
  8. Move the batter to a dish(oven-safe).
  9. Bake till the cheese melts and bubbles, about twenty minutes.
  10. If you are using a burner, cook the mixture in a pan on a low-medium flame.
  11. Then whisk them till they are completely creamy and melted.
  12. Serve this dish hot with keto dippers.

TIPS:

  • efore mixing, leave the cream cheese to soften to avoid lumps.
  • To make a good flavor and taste, cook the meat properly till brown.
  • If you want a golden surface, broil the dip and garnish with extra cheese.
  • You can use more chopped jalapeños if you like a spicy taste
