Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup butter, sliced into thin pats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the fruit: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Make cheesecake layer:
    In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add cheesecake dollops:
    Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the strawberry filling. Do not spread.
  5. Add cake mix:
    Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the entire dish, covering everything.
  6. Top with butter:
    Place butter slices evenly over the cake mix, covering as much surface as possible.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling around the edges.
  8. Cool slightly before serving so layers set.

Serving Tips

  • Serve warm or chilled
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
  • Stores well covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
