Ingredients
- 4 sausage links (fully cooked, preferably turkey or chicken for leaner)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (optional, for stretch)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp everything bagel seasoning (or sesame + poppy seeds)
- Optional: almond flour tortillas or egg wraps (if making burrito-style)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Make the cheese base:
Mix cheddar + mozzarella. Form into 4 rectangles on the tray (about sausage-length wide).
- Bake the cheese:
Bake 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly but not too crispy yet.
- Add sausage & roll:
Place a cooked sausage on each cheese rectangle. Use a spatula to carefully roll the cheese around it while hot. Let it set.
- Season:
Brush lightly with beaten egg or spray with oil. Sprinkle garlic powder, pepper, and everything seasoning on top.
- Bake again (optional):
Return to oven for 5 more minutes for ultra-crispy tops. Let cool slightly before serving.
