These cupcakes are good enough to enjoy without frosting, and very low carb. They have a great flavor and texture, so if the frosting is too much bother for a weekday dessert, or too many carbs, the cupcakes can stand on their own. The frosting is versatile because it’s not terribly sweet: it can also be used as custard for a regular tiramisu, or as a serving of mousse if you combine it with a bit of whipped cream.
