- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- One tsp. salt
- Two tbsp. olive oil
INGREDIENT NOTES:
MUSHROOMS:
- Mushrooms keep carbohydrates low while adding a meaty mouth feel. The ideal bite-sized mushrooms are button or cremini mushrooms.
EGGS:
- Eggs serve as a binding agent in order to keep the almond flour and Parmesan crust together. Beat them thoroughly before covering the mushrooms evenly.
ALMOND FLOUR:
- Almond flour provides a breaded, crispy feel without adding carbohydrates. It is the keto version of breadcrumbs.
PARMESAN CHEESE:
- Parmesan cheese adds crunch and flavor. Freshly grated cheese melts more easily and it provides the golden coating.
GARLIC POWDER:
- The addition of garlic powder provides the savory depth in the coating. It enhances the overall seasoning and goes well with mushrooms.
AVOCADO OIL:
Avocado oil spray helps crisp the coating and adds a golden touch to the nibbles without deep-frying
