I made two last week and took one into my office, my boss said it’s the best bread he’s ever tasted

Ingredients:

Shredded cheddar cheese1 cup
Buttermilk1 cup
Melted butter1/4 cup

Garlic powder (optional)1 teaspoon
Dried herbs (optional)1 teaspoon (rosemary or thyme)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
  2. Whisk the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Incorporate the Cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it’s evenly distributed throughout the dry mixture.
  4. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Avoid overmixing; a few lumps are okay. If using dried herbs, gently fold them in now.
  6. Bake the Bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy this Cheesy Quick Bread warm or at room temperature
