Keto Mozzarella Popper Pizza omg this was soo delicious and filling And yes, those are MOZZARELLA STUFFED MEATBALLS around the edges
Ok, this is a monster, just to warn y’all.
Preheat oven to 400° F.
For the crust and meatballs…mix 3lbs of ground turkey, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, 1 tbsp garlic powder. 2 lbs of this will make the bottom layer, and 1 lb will be needed for the stuffed meatballs. .
Spread 2 lbs of turkey mixture into a rectangular shape on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Poke some holes in the crust. Take remaining mix and use it to form meatballs around 8 oz. of fresh mozzarella pearls. Attach meatballs around the edge of the turkey crust. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is as done as you like it.
*There will be a ton of fat that will run off in the oven. Make sure you have a drip pan to catch it!
Remove from oven and top with 1/2 cup of your favorite low carb tomato sauce, another 8 oz of mozzarella pearls, a sprinkle of pizza cheese, and a tablespoon parmesan. Bake for another 10 minutes or until these cheese has melted. You can obviously add your favorite toppings too!
