INGREDIENTS:

  • One cup strawberries
  • ½ cup keto almond milk
  • One cup heavy cream
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 whole egg
  • ¼ cup Erythritol powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Salt

INGREDIENT NOTES:

STRAWBERRIES:

  • We use fresh strawberries to provide the natural sweetness and strong berry flavor in the dessert.

HEAVY CREAM:

  • It is added to provide the rich and creamy custard texture to prepare this dessert.

KETO ALMOND MILK:

  • We use almond milk to make this dessert without sweetness to limit the carbs.

EGG YOLKS:

  • It is used to thicken the custard and also provides the smooth consistency of this dessert.

EGG:

  • It is added to bind the components, and it also adds structure to the dessert.

KETO SWEETENER:

  • It is used to add sweetness in the dessert, and we can utilize Erythritol or monk fruit for this purpose.

VANILLA EXTRACT:

  • It is added to provide warmth and boost the aroma and sweetness of this dessert.

SALT:

It is added to fix the flavor and sweetness in dessert.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. We can heat up the oven at three-twenty-five degrees F.
  2. Add the strawberries to the blender to form the smooth paste and put aside.
  3. We can heat the almond milk and cream in a pan to warm the mixture.
  4. Then add egg yolks, whole egg, sweetener, & salt and whisk to form the smooth mixture.
  5. We can add the warm cream mix to eggs by mixing it continuously with a whisk.
  6. Then we would add strawberry paste and vanilla extract & combine them.
  7. We can strain the batter through the sieve into a large dish.
  8. Then pour in six ramekins and put in a baking dish filled with half water and bake for 34 minutes.
  9. We can properly cool the dessert in the kitchen, then place it in the fridge for 2 hours.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

  • We can decorate this dessert with mint leaves.
  • Whipped cream also goes great with this strawberry dessert.
  • Keto shortbread slices also go great with this dessert.
  • We can also sprinkle some freeze-dried strawberries over the dessert.

  • You can strain the custard mixture for a smooth texture.

  • We can bake the dessert in a water bath to prevent the curdling of this dessert.
