EQUIPMENT:

INGREDIENT:
- 1 8-inch keto-friendly pie crust no bake or baked
- 1 ½ cups coconut milk canned
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
INGREDIENT NOTES:
KETO PIE CRUST:
- Utilize a store-bought or homemade keto graham cracker crust to keep things easy. Make sure the crust is no-bake or blind-bake it beforehand if you’re purchasing one.
COCONUT MILK:
- Utilize canned coconut milk because of its thicker consistency. Light coconut milk or reduced fat will not provide the same texture, so avoid using these.
CHOCOLATE CHIPS:
- Bittersweet chocolate chips are utilized to prepare this chocolate tart; we can also utilize milk chocolate or dark chocolate according to our preference.
VANILLA EXTRACT:
- Vanilla extract adds another flavorful depth.
SALT:
A dash of salt is uncompelled; however it can be added before serving.
INSTRUCTION:
- Fit your store-bought or homemade pie dough into an eight-inch spring form pan. Put aside.
- Heat your coconut milk in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan until it’s heated.
- Add your chocolate or chocolate chips as soon as it’s warm, and then wait two to three minutes.
- Next, mix the chocolate and coconut milk until shiny and smooth. Add your vanilla extract and whisk.
- Fill the pie crust with your chocolate tart filling.
- Refrigerate till it gets firm, around two hours. If desired, sprinkle with sea salt.
SERVING IDEAS:
- For a dairy-free alternative, drizzle coconut cream over the keto chocolate tart. You can also top it with freshly whipped cream. This contrasts the tart’s richness with something light and creamy.
- A handful of fresh berries, like blackberries, raspberries, or strawberries, should be served with the tart. The acidity of the berries harmonizes with the rich, dark chocolate and balances its tastes.
- Add cacao nibs or shaved dark chocolate (be sure it’s low-carb) on the tart’s top for an added chocolaty treat. This provides an additional burst of rich flavor and a beautiful accent.
- For a decadent but low-carb dessert, serve the chocolate tart with a dollop of keto-friendly vanilla ice cream.
- For an additional layer of sweetness and complexity, drizzle the tart with a tiny bit of keto caramel sauce. You can purchase a premade low-carb version or prepare your own.
