One Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients:

Unsalted butter | 3 tablespoons, divided |
Large shrimp | 16 ounces, peeled and deveined |
Garlic | 2 cloves, minced |
Chicken broth | 2 cups |
Milk | 1 cup |
Fettuccine noodles | 8 ounces, dry |
Parmesan cheese | 1 cup, grated |
Heavy cream | 1/2 cup |
Pepper | 1/4 teaspoon |
Nutmeg | Pinch |
Parsley | For garnish |
Instructions:
Cook Shrimp
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and milk, then add dry fettuccine noodles to the skillet.
- Simmer Noodles
- Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are cooked and the liquid has reduced, about 10-12 minutes.
- Add Cheese and Cream
- Once the noodles are cooked, stir in grated parmesan cheese, heavy cream, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Return Shrimp to Skillet
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and toss everything together until the shrimp is heated through and the sauce is creamy.
- Garnish and Serve
