Ingredients
For the Peanut Butter Mixture:
- 1 ยฝ cups creamy peanut butter
- ยฝ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 ยฝ cups crushed graham crackers (optional for texture)
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark chocolate)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother coating)
Optional Toppings:
- Chopped peanuts
- Sea salt flakes
- Sprinkles
- Coconut flakes
Instructions
1. Make the Peanut Butter Filling
In a large bowl, combine:
- Peanut butter
- Softened butter
- Vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar and crushed graham crackers. Stir until a thick dough forms.
2. Shape the Balls
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, take small portions of the mixture.
Roll between your hands to create smooth balls.
Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
3. Chill
Refrigerate the peanut butter balls for 20โ30 minutes until firm.
This helps them hold their shape when dipped in chocolate.
4. Prepare Chocolate Coating
Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil:
- Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each,
or - Melt using a double boiler.
Stir until smooth.
5. Coat the Peanut Butter Balls
Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into melted chocolate using a fork.
Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
Place back onto parchment paper.
Add toppings if desired.
6. Set & Serve
Refrigerate for another 15โ20 minutes until the chocolate coating is firm.
